Penn JiuJitsu Kids Successful At 2019 Kids Pan | BJJ Academy | Hilo

Hilo’s Penn JiuJitsu Kids On The Podium At Pans 2019

We would like to extend a congratulations to our very own Kids Penn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Team for making the journey from Hilo to California to represent at the Kid’s 2019 IBJJF Pan tournament. The team joined the ranks and showed that through their training, they are some of the best in the nation. Though 9 medaled in their respective divisions, under the guidance of world class Black Belt instructors Kim Terra, BJ Penn, Kanan Kaku and JD Penn, the 12 overall competitors showcased their skills, demonstrating top level technique while leaving everything on the mat.

We at PennFit are nothing short of being proud of their successful experience. So too should their parents, family members and friends who have supported these Big Island BJJ youth athletes during their training camp and fundraising events.

We would also like to thank our other teammates who are also representatives of  Penn JiuJitsu Kids Team. Without your support during this training camp, the level of success would be limited. We are proud of you all!

Additional Congratulations

We would also like to extend our congratulations to our very own Penn JiuJItsu Kids Team Members, Xander Mauricio and Kailyah Bento for their outstanding performance as they both represented our team, at the Hawaii JiuJitsu Foundation’s Kids Submission Only Invitational held at the Edith Kanaka’ole Stadium.

The parents and coaches would like to extend their personal Mahalo to all those businesses and organizations who assisted with helping raise funds or who had donated towards the team’s efforts.
